General Member Retreat

Are you down to have fun with PUSO this weekend?!
Are you down to bond and make memories with an awesome group of people?
Well retreat is this weekend at San Diego! We will be be leaving this Friday night (2/24) and will be back at Sunday around the afternoon.

The cost is $40 for paid general members, $45 for non-paid members and $35 for Alumni! Fees include transportation, a house to stay in, and breakfast for Saturday morning. What a great deal right?! Be sure to pay your retreat fees by this Thursday night 2/23 at 9PM to any board member. (Brian John Sanchez and Eric Navalta will be at the pub collecting it from 7-9 PM)

PUSO’s First General Meeting: Jeopardy!

 

Welcome back! Hi everyone! Hope you are all excited to start a new quarter with PUSO :D

Come join us at our first general meeting of the quarter. We will be playing a game we all know and love called JEOPARDY! It will be great to see how everyone’s break went as well as meet new faces.

By the way our meetings have moved to the Dr. White Room in the Cross Cultural Cross.

Bring your study materials, blankets, snacks, whatever you might possibly need to get comfortable and focus on studying. Test files will be present so don’t miss out on the extra help.

PUSO’s 7th General Meeting: FITNESS & NUTRITION

It’s Week 7 and we know midterms have been taking over your lives these past two weeks or so! You probably have had to stop your regular workout regime and eat less healthy as a result of studying all day and night. Now that midterms are almost done why not get back into your daily routines such as exercising and eating healthy. Come to this week’s meeting and learn more about staying fit and eating right! You won’t want to miss it :)

PUSO’s 13th Annual Pre-Health Conference

PUSO’s PHC is coming up in November 14!

PUSO’s Pre-Health Conference focuses on 3 goals:
1) To educate students about the various health professions in an interactive, in-depth manner.
2) To motivate students to pursue future success in a career in the health field.
3) To help students realize that there is much more to the health field than just medical scho

There will be various health professions and workshops on all kinds of grad schools!

PUSO’s 6th General Meeting: CANCER

Hello PUSO Loves,

First off, we’d like to thank all of you for coming out to last week’s underclass representative elections, and congratulations to Matt Balajadia for becoming our last tie :)

We hope you all had a safe and wonderful Halloween weekend. To tone it down a bit, our meeting for this week consists of a more serious topic: Cancer. You may or may not know someone who has cancer, but here’s your chance to learn more about what it is, the various types out there, and even a couple testimonies.

**After Event: Taco Bell/anything at UTC! It had just reopened last week, so why not come stop by and eat dinner with PUSO :)

As you can see this meeting is specifically for PUSO’s next Underclass Representative! Come check out who is running, vote, and see who is the 16th person to make our board complete!! YOU have the power to vote for who you feel will lead this awesome organization on campus. PUSO’s 4th General Meeting: Career Paths

Hope you all are studying hard for those midterms that are coming up. But to relieve some stress from all your hard work, be sure to check out this week’s meeting on Career Paths! Not only will you learn different career paths that may spark your interest, but you also get to represent your PUSO-Pal family by playing JEOPARDY! Yes, each family will compete against each other in questionnaires and the family that wins will get points added to their PUSO-Pal point system. So who will be the winner? Will it be Converse? Vans? Nike’s, or perhaps Adidas? Well don’t miss out and SUPPORT your fams!
As well as career paths, we are doing Underclass Rep nominations so all you first and second years who are interested, tomorrow is the day that we’ll do nominations.

After Event: Come out and chill with PUSO at Ruby’s in Woodbridge Plaza along Barranca and Culver. Rides are provided! :)
